Lightning Coach Says Injury is Severe As They Lose Player For Game 6
The Tampa bay Lightning have surprisingly been doing well for the injuries that they have suffered, especially with star center man Brayden Point.
Point was a key piece to their last two back-to-back Stanley Cups, but went down in round one against the Toronto Maple Leafs when he fell awkwardly into the boards injuring his lower body which contains his ankle.
Brayden Point has now missed four games straight and make it another one as Lightning head coach Jon Cooper took the stand to say:
«It's unfortunate because it's a severe injury." It seems as if it got worse for Point, and the Lightning rushed him back too quick for his injury to heal- now being marked as severe.
He also mentioned something else which makes a lot of sense:
«If they don't feel confident in playing at the caliber they're used to, it almost works against them. It's unfortunate because it's a severe injury."
Which seems to be the case here, Point did not look like his usual self when returning to this playoff series- while he was eating up valuable minutes that a fully healthy skater could be soaking up and make much better use of.
