As a result of an upper-body injury suffered during the Boston Bruins game, the Chicago Blackhawks are without Taylor Hall.

After Brandon Carlo hit his former teammate in the neutral zone, there were immediate concerns about the forward's injury.

Luke Richardson on Carlo hit that injured Taylor Hall: "That's a blindside hit. That's a guy coming across the ice, for sure. That's what the game is trying to get rid of. I know exactly what it is because I used to do it all the time. But now it's not in the game."

After returning to the lineup on the power play for a short time in the 2nd period, Hall left the ice.

As a result of the injury, Richardson explained that Hall is now week to week.

As Richardson himself used to use this style of hit constantly, he called Carlo and his dirty hit out, explaining that the league is working to expressly end it.

In the meantime, Andreas Athanasiou will fill Hall's spot since Hall has not yet returned.

The Blackhawks' top six will be missing one of their key players, which will pose a challenge. On the ice, Hall and Bedard have already developed a chemistry that will be difficult to replace.

We await news on Hall, hopeful it's not a serious injury.
