Major trade taking place in Chicago - The Blackhawks will be moving on from this forward at the deadline
In addition to taking on a leadership role in the organization, Nick Foligno has been a great addition to the Chicago Blackhawks.
Connor Bedard relies on him to intimidate opponents and provide an offensive touch.
He is once again turning heads in the NHL as a result of his play in Boston and Chicago.
Apparently, two teams are interested in Nick Foligno ahead of the trade deadline.
His former team, the Boston Bruins, could use his help. Blackhawks retaining salary could accelerate the deal. He was very helpful to the team during his short time there and was a valuable addition to the 4th line. Don Sweeney and Jim Montgomery would welcome his return without a doubt.
A second team in the running for the veteran forward is the New York Rangers. It has been reported they will be buyers when the trade deadline comes up in 2024. In the bottom six, he could be a viable option.
It is Foligno's experience in leadership that counts in the NHL, and it is also the experience in playoffs that counts. It would be helpful for teams to have a gritty forward during the long post-season push.
