Newly acquired Florida Panthers defenseman Seth Jones turned heads with comments in his first interview since being traded by the Blackhawks, and he revealed a lot about the state of Chicago's NHL organization, alongside revealing some ugly info about the toll it took on him.

On March 1, the Blackhawks traded Seth Jones to the Florida Panthers in exchange for a first round draft pick in 2026 and goaltender Spencer Knight.
Knight is expected to start his first game with the Blackhawks tonight against the Los Angeles Kings, and is thrilled to be apart of a great organization such as the Blackhawks.
Seth Jones on the other hand, revealed he was manipulated when he signed an agreement on July 28 of 2021, when he accepted Stan Bowman's offer of an eight-year, $76 million contract.
Seth Jones to reporters in Florida: "It was a tough 4 years in Chicago. Not what I envisioned when I signed there... I was just putting so much on myself, trying to do it all. That wasn't the right thing, but it was hard mentally day-to-day. I'm happy I can come here...trust all the players around me and just win."
No matter how much fans may have judged Jones' game throughout his duration with the Blackhawks, you cannot disagree that it has been a rough 4 years in Chicago.
Jones is set to debut against the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight for a 7:00 p.m puck drop, and a lot of pressure is on the $9.5M defenseman on if he can perform with a Stanley Cup caliber winning team.
