The Wild have been pretty quiet this offseason, not really doing much. But they may have gotten a diamond in the rough with this one. Yesterday, the Minnesota Wild signed Sam Walker to a 2-year $950,000 Entry Level Contract.

Sam Walker is a Minnesota native. He went to the University of Minnesota and was born in Edina, Minnesota. Walker was drafted by the Lighning, along with Cole Guttman, and his draft rights expired, along with Cole Guttman. He was also Captain for his respective college, along with Guttman.

Sam Walker is 23 years old and is coming out of the University of Minnesota. He had 27 points in 39 games, scoring 14 goals and having 13 assists, being a well-rounded player when it comes to points. He has been like this his whole career since 2016, scoring no more than 30 points a season. Although, he improved drastically when he went to college, going from having 9 points the year before college in the USHL with the Sioux City Musketeers and then having 26 points his first year in college with Minnesota. He is 5'10 and weighs 190 pounds and is quick around the ice.

Sam could be a great player in the future, and Wild fans should be pretty excited about this one signing.
