NHL Cuts to Commercial Break After Award Show Host Roasts The Maple Leafs
The Toronto Maple Leafs have had yet again another first round exit, this year it was more acceptable due to the fact that were stuck facing the former back-to-back cup champions the Tampa Bay Lightning.
But that does not take away the fact that Leafs fans claimed that this year was "our year" as they say every year it seems but that gives others the perfect opportunity to poke fun at them, as well as this years NHL Awards show host Kenan Thompson did not waste any time to roast the Leafs.
Kenan Thompson is mostly known for his role in the Mighty Ducks Movie as well as his spot on the famous show SNL (Saturday Night Live)
Thompson awarded Auston Matthews a trophy and proceeded to say "Congrats to Auston Matthews it's nice to see the Leafs winning something in June". The NHL clearly was not a fan and cut to commercial break almost instantly.
