There were only three games Friday night around the league, as the Senators battled the Rangers, the Predators faced the Islanders, and the Blue Jackets faced the Jets.
The Senators topped the Rangers in New York with a score of 3-2 in overtime. Brady Tkachuk scored his 10th and 11th goals of the season, the latter was the game winner at the 4:42 mark of overtime.
The Nashville Predators defeated the New York Islanders on the road behind a spectacular performance by Kevin Lankinen. Lankinen stopped 48 out of 49 shots faced and made a fantastic save with the blade of his skate. Filip Forsberg got the Predators on the board in the first period and they ran away with the game from there.
The Blue Jackets defeated the Winnipeg Jets with a score of 4-1 in Winnipeg. This game was dominated by the Blue Jackets as they scored 4 straight unanswered goals, two of which came from Patrik Laine. Dubois was the lone goal scorer for Winnipeg.
There is a full slate of NHL games tonight, highlighted by the Avalanche visiting the Boston Bruins, who have been red hot on home ice this season. Check back tomorrow for more highlights and final scores.
