New York Rangers Fans Are Angry With Management After Kane News
It was surprising to see Patrick Kane not perform up to his usual standards during his tenure with the New York Rangers, considering he has always been a consistent player and has won the Stanley Cup three times.
However, recent news suggests that Kane may not have been as healthy as the fans were led to believe. It has been revealed that Kane needs to undergo hip surgery, which will keep him off the ice for four to six months.
Patrick Kane's representative, Pat Brisson, says Kane had a hip resurfacing today under Dr. Edwin Su. As is normal, follow-ups are planned, but roughly 4-6 months recovery is expected. Brisson says Kane «wants to play for a long time,» and doctors are optimistic that will happen
The procedure, called hip resurfacing, is an alternative to hip replacement and involves the use of implants to alleviate pain and stiffness caused by osteoarthritis.
Rangers fans should be pissed at Patrick Kane for lying to them about his health
Kane played in 19 games towards the end of the season with the Rangers, after being acquired from the Blackhawks where he had played 1,161 games.
Pat Brisson, Kane's agent, expects him to make a full recovery, but it is clear that he was most likely not in top physical condition prior to the trade.
Kane's performance suffered as a result, with only 12 goals and 57 points, his worst showing since the 2012-2013 season. Everything seems to make sense now.
As seen above by the World Hockey Report, Rangers fans are not happy with the result of the trade and the next question is, how long will the outrage last?
