Last night's loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets may have ended the Philadelphia Flyers' winning streak, but it seems the Flyers did not actually endure the loss; instead, the Blue Jackets did.
Zach Werenski, a star defensemen for the Columbus Blue Jackets, has experienced several season-ending injuries throughout his stint in the NHL. Last night against the Philadelphia Flyers, he sustained yet another one.
Werenski separated his shoulder as well as suffered a torn labrum during Thursday nights game. Werenski went in for a body check, putting all of his weight into it and sadly the Flyers played ducked, which caused Werenski to go barrling into the boards.
The Blue Jackets are now deemed ''the
Connor Bedard favourites'' after enduring the loss of the teams best defensemen, as they were already dead last in the NHL with a 4-9-0 record.
