Blackhawks forward Tyler Johnson can't catch a break this season. Johnson left Sunday night's contest against the Kings with an apparent lower body injury.
The 32 year old has been limited to 21 games this season due to injury. In those 21 games, Johnson has 5 goals and 9 assists. When healthy, Johnson has made a positive impact and fits into the lineup nicely because of his versatility. After the game, Johnson was seen in a walking boot.
Johnson needing a walking boot is not a good sign for the Blackhawks, but we should have a timeline and diagnosis here soon after further medical evaluation. If Johnson misses significant time, Reichel may be on his way back up.
