It's been a very hard season already if you are a Chicago Blackhawks fan. After seeing the Blackhawks win 3 Stanley Cups in 6 years it's clear those days are long gone.
The Blackhawks General Manager Kyle Davidson is trying to rebuild, but still has to move arguably the the franchise's best two players off all-time Patrick Kane and Johnathan Toews who played their 1,000th game together last night vs the New York Rangers.
The Blackhawks sit at the bottom of the Central Division with a 7-19-4 record and with Kane and Toews in the final year of their contracts, will likely be moved by the March 3rd, the NHL trade deadline. Both Kane and Toews will meet with the Blackhawks management after the holidays to decide their futures.
If or when a trade does happen, Blackhawks Insider Charlie Roumeliotis has revealed what a Kane deal will look like.
Roumeliotis says the Blackhawks will certainly have to retain atleast 50% of salary in return, Blackhawks General Manager Kyle Davidson wants a high 1st round draft pick, another pick, a 2nd or 3rd round pick, and highly touted prospect or a young player like a Alexis Lafreniere.
Roumeliotis also would hint the Rangers have all the things to make a deal young talent, picks, and most of all enough cap space.
