To say the officiating in the Stanley Cup playoffs was brutal would be a total understatement to say the least. Some nights calls would be so inconsistent or one sided it would be frustrating watch.
Atrocious officiating and doing schooled by the Colorado Avalanche took a toll on the Tampa Bay Lightning. There were only two total penalties called during Game 6, one for each team however, one of those Penalties could end up causing a suspension.
During the second period of Sunday night's game Ryan McDonagh would absolutely crush Darren Helm with a dirty hit from behind while he didn't even have the puck.
Despite being frustrated there's no room for these type of plays in hockey. The NHL Department of Player Safety will likely deal with Ryan Mcdonaugh.
