Saint Johns Sea Dogs Defeat Hamilton Bulldogs For The 2022 Memorial Cup

The Memorial Cup Tournament has come to a end with The Saint John Sea Dogs winning their second Memorial Cup and their first championship on home ice in franchise history. The Sea Dogs who were the host team this season would kill it all year in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with a impressive 47-17-1 record this season.
The Sea Dogs however would get upset in the QMJHL Eastern Conference playoffs losing to the Rimouski Oceanic in the first round of the playoffs. The good thing about being the host city the Sea Dogs would still be able to play for the Memorial Cup.
They along with The QMJHL President Trophy winning Shawinigan Cataractes would play the tournament against the Western Hockey League Champions Edmonton Oil Kings and the Ontario Hockey League Champions Hamilton Bulldogs.
After the four teams would play a round robin style playoffs with the Sea Dogs and Bull Dogs standing tall. The Bulldogs were believed to be the odds on favorites with team loaded with NHL prospects would end up losing 6-3 Infront of their sold out crowd to become the 2022 Mastercard Memorial Cup champions.
