The Colorado Avalanche have been on fire as of late, ranking second overall in the entire National Hockey League out of thirty two teams- a big help has been from their two goalies and the hot tandem they have going on.

P.Francouz and D.Kuemper have combined for a whopping fifty five wins on the season, with only seventeen losses out of seventy eight games played.

Tonight, a scary scene occurred while the Colorado Avalanche faced off against the Edmonton Oilers. Francouz was backing up starting goaltender Kuemper for the Avalanche, and took a wicked shot directly to the eye while on the bench helmet-less.

He was then brought to the dressing room for the remainder of the game, the the Avalanche had to get their emergency backup goaltender to go take Francouz's spot as backup.

The Avalanche released a statement stating that Francouz will be re evaluated tomorrow morning, more updates to come.
