It's December 24th, and theChicago Blackhawks teammates, like everyone else are prepping for Christmas.

The NHL and its teams are powering down for the short holiday break, and they have sent a heartfelt message to their fans.

On "X" we see Captain Nick Foligno, Ryan Donato, and Connor Murphy cheesing for photos for the social media team.

It reminds us what the Holidays mean, a time to rest, relax, and catch up with our loved ones.

As they prepare to enjoy turkey, fixings and present with their own.

Pictured in the photos are the happy families, of the Foligno's, Donato's, and Murphy's.

While Interim Coach Anders Sorensen is absent from this post, we should be thankful the Blackhawks have found a solution to woes that have troubled the team for quite a while.

Now, it's time for eggnog, presents, and holiday cheer.

Merry Christmas to the Chicago Blackhawks fans who have followed us all through thick and thin of these past few seasons, with Connor Bedard's ascendance into the NHL.

Keep in mind you can keep the season festive for other folks, as the team has a donation drive on their official website.

Give back this holiday season by donating to support the gift of warm clothes and coats to local Chicago based non-profits. Your gift will benefit West Side based community organization Task Force to ensure no youth are cold this holiday season.

The reason for the season is to give, be merry, and spread holiday cheer.

Merry Christmas to all Blackhawks fans, and to all have a good night!
