Liiga has delivered a seven game suspension to Helsinki IFK forward Petr Kodytek after an incident with Porn Assat forward Peter Tiivola which occured in the handshake line at the end of their recent game.

Liiga has handed out a seven-game suspension to Helsinki IFK forward Petr Kodytek for kicking Porin Ässät forward Peter Tiivola during the handshake line, on top of giving an «obscene gesture» (middle finger) to the Pori bench.

He was given a total of 50 PIM for his actions.

Kodtek, 26, has scored 24 (3+21) points in 35 games this season and will now be out of action until January 17.

Kicking has no place in the game of hockey, same goes with diving... both can be used in soccer, so you're in the wrong sport buddy!

In addition to the whopping seven game suspension handed out by Liiga, he also tallied up a whopping 50 penalty minutes during that handshake line altercation.

Kodytek was given two 5+20 minute penalties for unsportsmanlike conduct and kicking an opponent after the end of a league match against the Aces on Saturday. The league said it had referred the situations to its disciplinary delegation. Kodytek kicked the Aces' Peter Tiivola during the final handshakes.
The League said

Seven games seems like he got off the leash pretty loosely, do you think he deserved a longer suspension?
