Seth Jones, the Chicago Blackhawks defenceman, has responded to the team's decision not to keep his brother, Caleb, who joined the Carolina Hurricanes.
Seth wasn't informed beforehand by GM Kyle Davidson, although Davidson later reached out. Despite the surprise, Seth Jones is now concentrating on his part in the Blackhawks' rebuilding efforts.
"[We] had some good chemistry last year, and Chicago just wanted to go a different way... After the fact, Kyle called me, but not before. But I'm trying to control what I can control." Jones said.
As a pivotal defenceman, he's dedicated to shaping the team's future triumphs. Even as Caleb moves on, Seth's loyalty to Chicago remains unwavering, underlined by his seven-season contract and a $9.5 million cap hit.
