Shane Wright to be traded after World Juniors Finish
Shane Wright is not NHL ready, but we already knew that. He struggled in the preseason, then the early part of the regular season. He was then sent down to the AHL, where he did very well, but did not do much upon his return to the NHL.
With the Kraken claiming Eeli Tolvanen, it seems that Wright will not be in the NHL anymore this season. It seems the best fit for him is to be sent down to the OHL, but his team, the Kingston Frontenacs, are in a rebuild mode.
This means that Kingston is not the best place for Wright. So, with that being known, it is likely that Wright will be traded as one of the most highly touted trade targets in OHL history.
This value in the OHL will be very comparable to that of Patrick Kane in the NHL.
Whoever gets Wright will be looking to make a championship push.
