Should the Blackhawks bring this veteran defenseman back?

Nick Leddy was on the Blackhawks for four seasons, in which he only ever reached a high of 37 points (3G, 34A) in 82 games. He earned more points in his first few seasons with the Islanders, with more hits and blocks recorded in his time there than anywhere else. Would the Hawks want him to come back for a veteran presence?
When Leddy played with the Hawks he would be in and out of Rockford during the season, unable to find his stride. In his seven seasons with the Islanders he saw more ice time; he would rack up hits and blocks while still producing more points than he did previously. Since the 2017-2018 season, he's been on a decline with no sign of getting it back together.
If the Blackhawks were desperate for an experienced veteran, Leddy fits the bill. He could fill the position Calvin de Haan currently holds, but his asking price would most likely be higher. If Kyle Davidson wanted someone from the cup runs to help the younger defensemen develop, he could do it, but would that actually be desirable?
When it comes to the rebuild, there are multiple rookies lined up who want their shot on the blue line in the NHL. Bringing in another veteran while there are still arguably too many on the roster will take away opportunities for the younger guys. It would be a waste of future talent and potential; bringing Leddy back wouldn't be beneficial for the rebuild.
