Sportsnet Has Released The Top 10 HIGHEST PAID Athletes and It's INSANE..
It's insane to think about what some of these athletes get paid for doing what they love, especially hockey players.
Some may think a $9 million dollar contract in the NHL is a lot but in reality it is peanuts to other sports. Let's take a look at the leagues highest paid player,
Connor McDavid.
McDavid makes $12.5 million dollars per season (82 games). Which equals to be over $152,000 dollars PER GAME.
Equaling a whopping $6,000 per shift as McDavid obviously cannot play a full 60 minute game.
Lion Messi would laugh at McDavids warning as he's earning nearly triple per year at $34 million a season, with 44 less games played.
Messi makes just another $1,000,000 dollars a game with $894,736 per game.
Which equals over $20,000 each time he steps on the field for a shift. Insane, right? And $10,000 per minute that goes by each game.
Surprisingly hockey is one of the lowest-paying sports, as Forbes just did a «top paid athletes» statistic chart, and it is insane!
