The hockey community has received hard hitting news the month of July that nobody wants to hear, multiple sexual assault cases regarding team Canada has been brought to attention and each day more and more saddened news of disgusting incidents that have taken place in the past. The first piece of news released was that 7 or 8 World Junior players from the 2017-2018 Canadian roster were allegedly involved in a group-sexual assault act, the victim was a female who received a $3.3 million dollar settlement from Hockey Canada and the names out of the 7 or 8 alleged assaulters who performed disgusting acts were all kept hidden by hockey Canada. The court case is re-opened and a new investigation is taking place.
Fast forward just days after the 2018 sexual assault case was re-opened and exposed to the media, a new case has been brought to the attention of the hockey world by Rick Westhead of CTV news. The group-sexual assault act was completed and filmed on a recorder which was then made into a VHS tape where it was shown to 3 people, those 3 are now willing to speak about it and testify privately to bring the victim justice and expose those who performed this disgusting act.
