The Tampa Bay Lighting against the New York Rangers conference final has been quite boring in certain ways, low scoring games as we have the top two Vezina winning runner-up goaltenders facing off against each other, New York Rangers Igor Shesterkin and Tampa Bay Lightings Andrei Vasilevskiy.
Despite the low scoring slower paced games, some incident occurred and spark lots of scrums between the two teams- both having tough guys to back it up.
During Thursday's game 5 the series was tied at two a piece, and the game was quite clean until Jacob Trouba does what Jacob Trouba has been doing.. intending to injure players with his flying elbow, that has went unrecognized to the NHL player safety committee.
Tensions were high. Tween the two teams after this attempted hit was made, and it went down to the final seconds of the game- where Kucherov ripped a unnecessary shot on Igor Shesterkin up 2 goals with seconds remaining, the New York Rangers didn't like that and a brawl broke loose.
During this brawl we got to witness a rare occurrence, two former first-round picks going toe to toe and Steven Stamkos came out strong.
