According to Nick Alberga, a legitimate source texted him, deeming the Columbus Blue Jackets as a very real threat to land the Buffalo, New York., native Patrick Kane.
The Blue Jackets are short centers at the NHL level, although the team does have the assets to acquire one.
But the thought of having Johnny Gaudreau and Patrick Kane together on the same team is too tantalizing for Jackets GM Jarmo Kekalainen to ignore.
Now, of course you will see many rumours ahead of Kane actually being dealt or what have you. But if Kane did opt to play in Ohio, he would be surrounded by some premium young American talent, which might entice Kane to sign there, with the likes of Werenski and Gaudreau, along with the rest of the Jackets young core.
Certainly Laine and Sillinger wont mind having two elite playmaking wingers, who are regarded highly as offensive catalysts, who both possess wizard-like puckhandling skills.
