The Vegas Golden knights have had a woeful off-season plagued with injuries and bad luck, but you know what they say, if they didn't have bad luck they wouldn't have any luck at all. After losing Robin Lehner for the year with a hip issue, they've been searching for clarity around their goaltending situation. It's possible they could've found a stable number 2 in Adin Hill.
According to the Knights Twitter account Vegas has acquired Hill from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for a 2024 4th round pick.
Hill, 26, dealt with injury after injury last year only appearing in 25 games with the Sharks in 2021-22 including only one across the last three months of the NHL's regular season. He did fair okay in those contests though, posting a 10-11-1 record with 2 shutouts, a 2.66 goals against average and a .906 save percentage.
By all accounts Hill is coming into next season fully healthy and could be a reliable number 2 option should de facto starter Laurent Brossoit falter with Lehner out.
