The Chicago Blackhawks are currently 24-38-6. While that doesn't sound good, they are exceeding everyone's expectations this season.
The Blackhawks were expected to be the worst team in the league this season. As of today, they're sitting 29th in the league, 4th to last. Even after trading away key pieces like Patrick Kane, Max Domi, and Jake McCabe, and bringing up players with little to none experience, they're still finding a way to win games. The Hawks beat the Boston Bruins, the best team in the NHL, a few nights ago.
Chicago's coaching staff has a lot to do with that. They've kept the team together, kept the spirits high, and the players are stepping on the ice and playing their hearts out. While it's frustrating, because we're supposed to be tanking for Bedard, you cannot take away the heart this team possesses, and props to the fans in the Windy City to showing up and supporting them every home game.
