Jonathan Toews is 'Seriously Considering Retirement' We Will Miss Our Captain
One of the greatest Blackhawks players of all time, Jonathan Toews, is «strongly considering» retirement.
Toews' immune system really isn't great. This is not the first time he's been sidelined with being sick, either. At the age of 34, this is normally the time you start contemplating retirement, but you have to think this is not how he wants to end his career.
Jonathan has 14 goals and 14 assists, adding up to 28 points in a shortened 46 game season this year. The Captain also has 371 career goals and 509 assists, totaling up to 880 points in 1,082 games played.
It's time he listens to what his body continues to tell him, and that's to hang up the skates. As sad as it is, it's what's best for him and his health.
There is no doubt Toews will get his #19 hung up in the rafters at the United Center, along with his longtime teammate
Patrick Kane's #88.
