The Boston Bruins headed into the playoffs as serious underdogs as they faced off against the red hot Carolina Hurricanes , fast forwarding nearly a week in and the series is tied at two games a piece from a 5-2 Bruins win on Sunday.

Boston Bruins Hampus Lindholm took a hard hit from Carolina Hurricanes Svechnikov, causing Lindholm to stay in concussion protocol for the rest of the game and to be sat for game 4 that took place Sunday.

Following their game on Sunday, they were hit with some very devastating news. Charlie MacAvoy entered COVID-19 Protocol after receiving a test back just before puck drop. McAvoy is the Bruins number one defenseman, and ranks above Victor Hedman for playoff performances on TSN's playoffs top 100 skaters.

His time to return is «currently unclear», as it could be a week to week process or something as simple as returning the next game.
