The Chicago Blackhawks' AHL Affiliate Gets a Significant Boost
The Chicago Blackhawks AHL affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs, are set to receive a significant boost with the addition of two former Blackhawks draft picks. Jalen Luypen and Drew Commesso are expected to join the team soon, although they will not be playing in the next game.
Luypen, a forward, was selected by the Blackhawks in the sixth round of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. Commesso, a goaltender, was chosen in the second round of the same draft. Both players have been playing for the Boston University Terriers, and their arrival will provide a much-needed boost to the IceHogs as they look to finish their season on a strong note.
