The Real Reason Olczyk Left The Blackhawks May Have Just Been Revealed
Sadly Eddie Olczyk's long time in Chicago has came to a end as of late, from playing for the organization to even announcing games with his legendary partner Pat Foley for many many years, the Hawks sadly did not renew Olczyk's contract and the two camps could not come to a agreement. Olczyk is now announcing for the Seattle Kraken.
Well, at least most of the news sites reported the two could not reach a agreement... Eddie Olczyk released his own OFFICIAL statement, and it stated that it was his own choice and decision to leave the Blackhawks organization and that he has had a amazing time in Chicago, he also thanked the fans and organization.
Olczyk chose to sign with the Seattle Kraken, leaving fans in question- why Seattle!?? Well, it all makes sense now..
The Seattle Kraken have announced there broadcast team for the year, and it all makes sense as why Eddie O left the windy city.. His son Nick Olczyk, who has been under his dads and also the legendary voice of the Hawks Pat Foley's wing for quite some time has been announced to be a commentator for the Kraken, alongside his father Eddie! The two Olczyk's!
Nick is just twenty-five years old, and with the recent announcement of Pat Foley retiring Eddie Olczyk would have been stuck with a rookie commentator with the Hawks, why not take on a rookie commentator, who is your son in a fresh franchise!!
