The Vegas Golden Knights Are Targeting This Starting Goaltender to Replace Robin Lehner
The Vegas Golden Knights goaltending curse lives on, and has started since the team did veteran goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury dirty by trading him away without his knowledge. Now, goaltender Robin Lehner is expected to miss the entire 2022-23 season with a serious injury. The team has been cursed with injuries for quite some time now..
Who will replace Robin Lehner? New York Islanders hockey now reported that goaltender Semyon Varlamov may be the fit. Varlamov recently had his number-one spot role taken on the Islanders due to young hot goaltender Ilya Sorokin breaking out with skill.
Varlamov played 31 games this past season, he put up a 2.91 GAA (goals against average) and a impressive .911 save percentage. With the solid defensive core the Vegas Golden Knights currently have, the veteran 34-year old goaltender Varlamov can make for a great fit.
