This Day in History; Bobby Hull Scores Advancing Chicago to The Finals in 1971
Fifty one years ago, the Blackhawks defeated the New York Rangers 4-2 in game 7 of the semi finals. Out of the four goals three of them were thanks to Bobby Hull. It was late into the second period when Blackhawks finally tied Ranger 2-1 lead, where Hull assisted Cliff Koroll, then to take the lead four minutes into the third period. The Blackhawks finished off the game with an assist to Chico Maki. The win led the Blackhawks to the Stanley Cup Finals, against the Montreal Canadiens.
