The legend of Patrick Maroon just continues to grow. Patrick Maroon had won 15 straight playoff series. Let's take a quick look at how the legend began.
The insane stat all started when Maroon was a part of the St. Louis Blues during the 2018-2019 season. While Maroon may not be the best with the puck on his stick, he brings a gritty presence that many successful playoff teams have an abundance of. During the Blues cup run, Maroon tallied 7 points on his way to a Stanley Cup ring.
Maroon then joined the Tampa Bay Lightning for the 2019-2020 season. Maroon's gritty presence helped the talented Lightning team finally reach the top of the mountain. Maroon only tallied 6 points during that playoff run but was still highly praised by his teammates for his ability to set a physical tone. Maroon won his second ring in back-to-back seasons and was primed to win a third.
Maroon and the Lightning did just that the following season. The Lightning were able to repeat, dominating the Montreal Canadians on their way to establishing a dynasty. Maroon had 4 points during that run, but still made plays and laid big hits when needed it, earning him his third straight Stanley Cup.
Maroon and the Lightning have been knocked off their throne after being eliminated by Colorado on their quest to three-peat. Over the last 5 seasons, Maroon has skated in 96 playoff games. Maroon's playoff streak has come to an end, but it was an incredible feat to witness.
