Well, one key factor could be that the Blackhawks have some of the best uniforms in the NHL. Despite controversy on their logo, in almost every uniform poll you can find the Blackhawks in the top five, if not voted the best. Another factor could be that they're in Chicago. Chicago is a very unique and likable city. Deep dish pizza, bratwursts, the bean, what more could you ask for? The Hawks also have a very notable goal horn. The «Da-Da-Da» from Chelsea Dagger can get stuck in anybody's head, especially a Blackhawks fan's head. If you're not a fan of the Hawks, chances are it's the most annoying goal song in hockey. One final reason for the Hawks loyal fan base could be the players.
Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews, Duncan Keith, Bobby Hull, Stan Makita - shall I keep going? Point is, the Blackhawks have been around almost 100 years, and there's an endless list of notable players that have played in Chicago.
