Home openers are usually quite the spectacle for fans and young players alike. Teams roll out the red carpet and players greet the fans as their name is announced to the applause of many. This year is a little different for Jonathan Toews, as it may be his last in Chicago.
After the morning skate, Toews stated "It's the last year of my contract, so it definitely dawns on you that you've got to seize every moment that you can... It clicks in that you can never take playing this game at this level for grated, especially wearing this sweater."
Toews obviously loves the city of Chicago, the organization, and the fans. Hopefully Toews ultimately decides to finish his career in Chicago where he belongs.
