Video Going Viral of Alex DeBrincat and Claude Giroux's First Practice in Ottawa
The Chicago Blackhawks lost Alex DeBrincat this past off-season, a back-to-back forty plus goal scorer who has yet to reach the prime years in his career- why would they trade him away for so little in return? Well, the Blackhawks are fully rebuilding. Ok, but why did they only get a 7th overall pick in return? Well, it is the Blackhawks.. and the management can have their head in the wrong places most of the time.
The Florida Panthers traded their best prospect and multiple first round picks to the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for Claude Giroux, who only played less than a quarter of the season with Florida, and proceeded to get demolished in the first round of the playoffs. That's a steep price for a rental!
Who benefited off these two teams' slack? The Ottawa Senators, who are looking better than ever after completing a multi-year rebuild. They are in hope to make a deep run in this years upcoming playoffs, and sure look hot and ready with the additions of Giroux and �'The Cat''.
