WATCH: Former Blackhawk Rag Dolls Ryan Hartman in Fight

Nikita Zadorov was near his contract expiry, and more than-likely did not want to re-sign with the Blackhawks. The Calgary Flames worked out a deal with the Chicago Blackhawks on July 28th 2021 to send Zadorov to the Flames for as little as a 3rd round pick for the expiring contract D-man.

His physicality will scare and keep opponents on their toes, something the Blackhawks need and sure miss.
