Wild Accused of Being Racists Against Black Lives Matter With Recent Tweet: Release Apology Letter
The Minnesota Wild Have released the following statement after receiving backlash for their most recent social media postings, and a themed night for a wild game next season:
'' We understand the black and blue flag symbol means many things to many people. Our only
intention was to show support for law enforcement for the outstanding work they do in our local communities. Moving forward, we will work hard to show appreciation for various groups in ways that best reflect our shared community values.''
The Wild tweeted a photo that they will be dedicating a specific game night for law enforcement appreciation during this upcoming season, which is quite amazing and all NHL teams should do so.
What the Wild didn't realize, was the logo they used on the shirt/merchandise used, and that will be given out to fans, Is a ''blue lives matter'' logo, a group that did not support the ''black lives matter'' movement, but supported the police officers who were involved in the racially profiling incidents involving black people.
This is the blue lives matter flag:
And this is the Minnesota Wild's t-shirt they planned to hand out, and posted publicly that made them receive plenty of backlash.
