During last year's 2022 draft, the Chicago Blackhawks traded Alex DeBrincat for the 2nd round pick, 39th overall, which ultimately led to the selection of Paul Ludwinski.

Ludwinski was chosen as part of the compensation package and has been impressing fans with his performance in the OHL.

Wrapping up our Player Spotlights with the Captain 🫡

Paul Ludwinski dazzled with highlight plays all season long. He signed his ELC with Chicago near the end of the season and is looking to take a huge leap in 23/24!

In the 2021-2022 season, he put up 43 points in 63 games and has already scored 34 points this season. He signed his ELC with the Blackhawks towards the end of the season, and the 19-year-old is expected to attend training camp.

Depending on his performance, he may develop in Rockford or join the team.

Ludwinski is being touted as a potential key player in the Blackhawks' rebuild, with his high-energy, two-way playing style making him an attractive prospect for Kyle Davidson and Luke Richardson.

If you're looking for a mix of high energy and puck skills, you've come to the right place as Paul Ludwinski is all gas, no brakes. His non-stop energy sets him apart from the pack as he's constantly motoring around the ice every shift. He applies relentless pursuit and routinely catches the puck carrier, forces a turnover, and begins the transition in the other direction. Ludwinski also has solid puck skills and a strong ability to detect open space and time into that opening as a passing option. His work rate and skills make him an intriguing prospect that offers a safe floor and the upside to be more than just an energy player.
