"There was some surprising news on Sunday from the Chicago Blackhawks organization. Defenseman Philip Holm has left the Chicago Blackhawks organization and is heading back overseas to Europe. Holm was playing for the Rockford IceHogs after signing a one year deal this summer. He's been placed on unconditional waivers for the purpose of mutual termination of a contract. He had racked up four goals and 11 assists in 30 games and there was no indication that he wasn't happy in North America.
