"The Chicago Blackhawks season has almost been in the dumpster since the start of the season. Much like last year it looks like the Blackhawks and general manager Stan Bowman won't be buyers at the trade deadline. Bowman has already made a bunch of moves so far starting back in November when he traded Nick Schmaltz to the Arizona Coyotes for Brendan Perlini and Dylan Strome. He followed that up with a late December deal when he sent underwhelming defenseman Brandon Manning and Robin Norell to the Edmonton Oilers for Jason Garrison and Drake Caggiula. Most recently he traded Jan Rutta and a 7th round pick to the Tampa Bay Lightning for defenseman Slater Koekkoek and a 5th round pick. Now it looks like he might be thinking about making a move with either the Boston Bruins or Philadelphia Flyers. The Blackhawks will have three scouts in attendance for tonight's game between the Boston Bruins and Philadelphia Flyers. It's interesting because the Flyers will likely be sellers at the deadline while the Bruins will likely be buyers.
