"The Chicago Blackhawks have hit their first COVID battle of the season. Goalie Kevin Lankinen and forward Mike Hardman have been entered into the protocol. The Hawks are supposed to be 100% vaccinated so if all goes well they shouldn't be sidelined too long. Lankinen is expected to battle Malcolm Subban to be Marc-Andre Fleury's backup goalie after registering a 3.01 goals against average last season along with a .909 save percentage. Hardman is battling for a roster spot after the 22 year old registered a goal and two assists in eight games last season. More details to come.
