"Last night we saw yet another dirty play in the NHL. Colorado Avalanche defenseman Samuel Girard went hard boarding Chicago Blackhawks forward Alex DeBrincat. DeBrincat stayed on the ice and Girard wasn't given a penalty. On Thursday morning the NHL Department of Player Safety announced they've made a ruling on the play. "Colorado's Samuel Girard has been fined $1,957.89, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for Boarding Chicago's Alex DeBrincat."No suspension but a fine for Girard.
