"After beating the Tampa Bay Lightning in a shootout on Friday, the Chicago Blackhawks lost a tough one against the Lightning on Sunday 6-3. Not only did the score leave a sour taste in Hawks' fans mouth but a Connor Murphy hit left a sour taste in some hockey fans' mouths. Murphy was kicked out of the game for what was considered a head shot on the Lightning's Eric Cernak. The Hawks' defenseman was given a major penalty and shown the exit while Cernak stayed down on the ice and didn't return to the game either because of injury. The NHL Department of Player Safety announced that there would be no further discipline for the Hawks' defenseman.
