Game canceled following tragic incident on the bench
Last night's hockey game between the Saint John Sea Dogs and the Cape Breton Eagles took a scary turn when Sea Dogs head coach Travis Crickard collapsed behind the bench during the third period.
Medical staff rushed to help Crickard, leading to the game being called off with 19:06 left on the clock.
Crickard was then taken to the hospital for further check-up and treatment.
Despite the concerning incident, there's some good news. Crickard was conscious when he left the arena, which is a hopeful sign for his recovery.
The game was called off with the Cape Breton Eagles leading 6-0. Our thoughts are with Coach Crickard for a quick recovery.
