VHL fan tragically dies

Unfortunately, a male fan at a VHL game in Russia suffered a medical episode in the stands and passed away.

The hockey world has suffered a lot of loss recently and left multiple lives torn apart, such as the death of Adam Johnson passing away after getting cut by a skate blade in a EIHL game and Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau passing away after being hit by a drunk driver.
Both of those tragedies have happened in the last couple years, with the Gaudreau's happening over the summer.
During a game with the Iocal Sokol and Rubin, a man suffered from acute heart failure or chronic health problems; the doctors at the game were unable to save him.
Fan Dies During VHL Game

During a match between the local Sokol and Rubin, one of the spectators lost consciousness. Doctors were unable to save the man's life.

According to the team, the cause of death could have been acute heart failure or chronic health problems.
For those who don't know, the VHL is the minor leagues to the KHL, like the AHL is to the NHL. The KHL is the big leagues in Russia.
Two NHL prospects were playing in the game in which the fan passed.
Vladimir Bobylyov, 27 years old, isn't necessarily a prospect anymore, but was a fifth round pick by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2016 draft and the Maple Leafs still hold his rights.
On the other hand, Denis Gadbdrakhmanov, a goalie prospect selected in the 7th round by the Florida Panthers last year, has some upside at just 19 years old. So far in the VHL throughout five games, Gadbdrakhmanov has posted a 1.49 GAA and a .940 SV%.
We send our condolences to the fan's family and whoever may be impacted by this loss.
