NHL analyst Paul Bissonette cannot shy away from a fight after his spat with Connor Bedard he's chosen to double-down on his remarks./h2>

Paul Bissonette took a lot of heat recently for a statement that was unfair and lacked any merit.
He accused the Chicago Blackhawks center Connor Bedard of playing "pond hockey". This is despite Bedard's recent statistic of 22 points in the last 21 games with a Blackhawks team lacking top-end talent.
Instead of keeping quiet and removing himself from the spotlight, he's decided to double down on "X" yet again.

Connor Bedard's 73-point season?

Connor Bedard is set to have another career year in the NHL, without Paul Bissonnette's advice or influence.
In 2023-2024, we got to see his skills on display every night he suited up for the Blackhawks, and provided an entertaining stretch of games for the year.
The competition between himself and Minnesota Wild defenseman Brock Faber kept us enthralled.
Bedard would end up winning the Calder Trophy, scoring 22 goals and 61 points in 68 games with the Hawks.
Again, without Bissonnete's input, or help.
Now, he continues to double down, an action that shows he's truly not sorry for what he's said. He's instead concerned about being right.
The numbers, however, prove him wrong yet again as Bedard is going to blow past his 61-point season this year.
Bedard will score 73 points this season if he continues to score at his current rate. The Blackhawks may be no closer to a playoff spot this season, but Bedard continues to progress as a player.
He will have to figure out how to develop his two-way game, but that wasn't a subject of discussion for someone like Auston Matthews until the 2022 NHL season.
Bissonnette is jaded, and unhappy the game has passed him by. It's time to lament the era of the 2010s, appreciate what they gave us, and look ahead to the Bedard-era of the Blackhawks.
