Lucic and his wife were involved in an incident that led to Lucic being arrested and charged with assault.
The prosecution made a surprising decision to drop all charges against Lucic after his wife chose not to testify and a judge ruled her 911 call inadmissible.

Lucic's lawyers argued that his wife's absence from the trial indicated that she had made up the claim.
The judge agreed with Lucic's lawyer, and all charges were dropped.
