Ivan Provorov's refusal to participate in warmupsfor the Philadelphia Flyers in the LGBT «pride night» jerseys little over a month ago has sparked a lot of debate from a variety of perspectives.
Due to Provorov's action, the New York Rangers and another NHL club postponed their whole pride night and did not wear the jerseys on the scheduled night as stated before.
In a recent interview, former NHL general manager Brian Burke addressed the issues and said enough is enough. The three clubs that seemed to have opted out of the pride night celebrations were the Chicago Blackhawks, New York Rangers, and New York Islanders.
Burke's son is active in the LGBT community, and in the interview that is posted below, Burke says that since his son came out to him, life has been much better.
Although many may not agree, Burke's standpoint on this controversy is valid as any persons opinion should be.
