Team USA announces major reinforcements incoming on defence before 4 Nations Face-Off Final against Finland

Team USA is getting some much-needed help just in time for its biggest game of the tournament.
Head coach Mike Sullivan confirmed Tuesday that star defenseman Quinn Hughes is traveling to Boston and could be available for Thursday's 4 Nations Face-Off final against Canada.
With Charlie McAvoy sidelined due to an upper-body injury, adding Hughes-last season's Norris Trophy winner-would be a huge boost to the American blue line.
The bigger news, though, is up front.
Sullivan said he expects Auston Matthews to be ready for the final, and both Matthew and Brady Tkachuk are also set to return. That's three major pieces back in the lineup, adding firepower and grit to a U.S. team that will need everything it can muster to take down the Canadians.
Canada has been dominant all tournament, led by Connor McDavid, Nathan MacKinnon, and Sidney Crosby.
With Matthews back and the possibility of Hughes stepping in, the Americans might be in a much better position for their rematch and chances at a championship.
Puck drop is set for Thursday in Boston, where Team USA will try to flip the script and take home the first-ever 4 Nations Face-Off title.
