The Chicago Blackhawks missed out on the playoffs once again and have now missed the playoffs in 3 of the last 4 years. With Jonathan Toews ready to return next season (presumably), the Blackhawks will be looking to make a playoff push because they actually weren't far off this year. That playoff push could involve a blockbuster deal. According to NHL insider Larry Brooks of the New York Post, the Blackhawks have officially entered the Jack Eichel sweepstakes. We've heard that the Buffalo Sabres are ready to make the move sooner than later and according to Brooks the Blackhawks have jumped in and made a significant offer. Brooks reports that the Blackhawks are ready to move Kirby Dach along with the #11 pick overall to try and acquire Eichel. Some other pieces would likely have to be thrown in however Brooks makes it clear that the Hawks are in the mix.Do you think Eichel would be a perfect fit for the Hawks?
